Review by hotel critic
From the moment we arrived at Nightingale Cottage, we were impressed by the attention to detail and thoughtful touches that the owners had put into making our stay comfortable. Being able to make use of the garden, especially for our dog, made the experience even more enjoyable. The location of the holiday home was perfect for us, as we love to engage in outdoor activities like cycling and hiking. The fireplace in the cottage was a lovely feature, especially on cooler evenings when we could relax and unwind after a day of exploring the nearby Derwentwater and Buttermere. the bathroom was spacious and clean, with both a bath and shower available. As someone who values cleanliness and comfort, I was delighted to find that the cottage was immaculately maintained and had all the necessary amenities, such as ironing facilities, tea and coffee provisions, and a washing machine. the addition of private parking was also a bonus. the warm and welcoming atmosphere, combined with the convenient location and excellent facilities, made for a truly memorable trip. I would highly recommend this holiday home to anyone looking for a cosy and relaxing getaway in the Lake District.
